We want to recognize Philadelphia-area commuters who go the extra mile(s) for a sustainable commute!
Transportation related sources are one of the largest contributors to air pollution in the Philadelphia region. Do you or someone you know brave snow, blocked bike lanes, early morning small talk, or uncomfortable proximity to your fellow public transit riders to get to work each day, in a way that reflects your commitment to the environment? Clean Air Council is looking for nominees for its inaugural Clean Air Commuter of the Year award. The Clean Air Commuter of the Year will be profiled here and in our next Fresh Air newsletter and get an award at next year’s Run for Clean Air to bring glory to their cubicle and inspire their coworkers. Depending on your preferred clean commute mode, the winner will also get a one-month SEPTA TrailPass, a $150 gift certificate to your local bike shop, or a green car detailing to make your workplace ride pristine and coffee stain free.
Clean Air Commute Employer of the Year
Nominate an employer here!
If your company or employer is first in promoting sustainable commutes, enter Clean Air Council’s first Clean Air Commute Employer of the Year contest! If your own company or employer promotes commutes that are healthy and economical for both employees and the environment, we want to hear about it. And if you’re an employee who helped them get there, consider nominating yourself for the Clean Air Commuter award. Unlike the Commuter award, this award is limited to employers located within Philadelphia.
